Gold Fever in Oregon

I, Aaron Baker had a chance to go gold prospecting with my brother Ryan. We trampled through the Oregon forest trying to get close to a creek that we had read about that may contain gold. It was my first time seriously trying to pan for gold. We started early in the morning and ended at sun down. We have looked into buying gold claims but the new gold rush has caused prices to sky rocket. Our plan, find gold on BLM land and make our own claim. I’m rusty on the laws surrounding prospecting, but my brother is well versed in the laws pertaining to it. I’m told we’ll be able to build a cabin on our claim with the conditions that we keep prospecting the land. Sounds like fun to me. This trip was ultimately unsuccessful, but gold fever still runs hot in my veins. Next time will be a successful trip.
